Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information NeedScout collects, how we use it to provide opportunity briefings, and the choices you have.

Last updated: May 20, 2026

1. Information we collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, login details, plan selection, preferences, saved opportunities, feedback, support messages, and service usage activity. We also collect technical information such as browser, device, IP address, and basic logs needed to secure and operate the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account, send email briefings, personalize opportunity categories, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, improve relevance scoring, prevent abuse, and maintain reliable service operations.

3. Public market signals

NeedScout analyzes publicly available market signals such as forum posts, review snippets, launch feedback, feature requests, and other public conversations. These sources are used to identify product demand patterns and are not intended to collect private account data from third-party services.

4. Payments and service providers

We use trusted third-party providers for payment processing, email delivery, authentication, hosting, analytics, and support workflows. Payment providers process payment details directly; NeedScout does not store full card numbers.

5. Sharing and selling data

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us run NeedScout, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the service, users, or the public.

6. Data retention and security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including TLS encryption in transit, to protect information.

7. Your choices

You can update account preferences, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, request account assistance, or ask privacy questions through the Contact page.
