Webhook Debugging and Monitoring Dashboard for API Developers
API developers struggle to debug webhooks: payloads arrive from external services, fail silently, and leave no trace. Hookdeck on IH built a webhook infrastructure platform. The wedge is a webhook debugging dashboard: inspect incoming webhook payloads in real-time, replay failed webhooks, set up alerts when webhooks stop arriving, and monitor delivery success rates, like Postman for incoming HTTP events rather than outgoing requests.
Problem Statement
A developer integrates Stripe webhooks for payment processing. A customer reports they paid but the app didn't activate their subscription. The developer checks: Stripe dashboard says the webhook was delivered successfully. The app's database shows no record of the payment event. There's no log of the incoming webhook payload. Was the payload received? Did processing crash? Was there a parsing error? The developer adds console.log everywhere, deploys, and asks the customer to make another test payment. This debug-by-reproduction cycle takes 2-4 hours. A webhook debugging dashboard that captured every incoming payload with timestamps, headers, and processing status would have shown the answer in 30 seconds.
The Idea
A webhook debugging and monitoring dashboard that captures, inspects, replays, and alerts on incoming webhooks, providing the same visibility for incoming HTTP events that Postman provides for outgoing requests.
Why Now
Webhook-based integrations now power most SaaS-to-SaaS communication: Stripe sends payment events, GitHub sends push events, Shopify sends order events. But debugging a failed webhook is painful: the sending service says it delivered the payload, your server has no log, and you don't know if the payload was malformed, the endpoint was down, or processing code had a bug. Hookdeck and Svix are building webhook infrastructure, but they focus on sending webhooks. The receiving side, debugging, monitoring, and replaying webhooks your app receives, is underserved.

Usage-Based Cost Monitor and Optimization Advisor for Snyk Teams
Buyer reviews for Snyk consistently highlight pricing complaint friction, specifically: Pricing jumped 3x after our trial. Per-developer licensing penalizes open-source; Cost per project grows linearly. For a microservices architecture with 80+ repos. This pain is concentrated among Engineering managers controlling developer tool spend in growing startups and creates demand for a focused tool that resolves the gap without requiring a platform switch. The Developer Tools category has matured enough that users have committed to Snyk as infrastructure, making adjacent tooling more viable than platform replacement.

Coding agents now produce more PRs than human engineers on many teams, overwhelming reviewers with diffs they cannot read line-by-line. A triage system that evaluates PR risk based on code sensitivity, author verification steps, and agent conversation context lets reviewers focus on the PRs where human judgment changes outcomes. Haystack demonstrated this model, reaching strong HN traction.
